We received delivery of our first vein finder today . This will be donated to The Teenage Cancer Trust Ward at The Western General in Edinburgh, this unit opened a month after losing Christopher, although his treatment was carried out in ward 1 and 8 at The Western General we felt it would more fitting for our 1st vein finder to be donated here as Christopher had seen the plans and had put across some ideas to what would enhance this project from a patients’ point of view. We asked Rachel Laird, who had made friends with Christopher in ward 8 while she underwent treatment for Leukaemia, to join us for the hand over to Senior Charge Nurse Morag Moore.
