Why Should You Join Team Cookie?

2023/24 is a special year for the charity as it sees us commemorating 10 years since we lost Christopher to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the the age of 19.  This year also would have been his 30th Birthday,  we want to celebrate everything the charity has achieved through his inspiration and through each fundraisers inspirational journey, as we wouldn’t have been able to fulfil Christopher’s wishes without everything you do to help support us.

We are an affiliated charity and have spaces for each of the walks listed below at discounted prices;

  • The Mighty Stride

    21 miles – average 6 miles – Prepare yourself for the ultimate Kiltwalk challenge! Leaving from Bingham Medway and taking you around the Capital before finishing up at BT Murrayfield.

  • The Big Stroll

    14.7 miles – average time 4 hours – Get your team together and get ready for an unforgettable experience on your Big Stroll! Taking you from Fisherrow Links (Musselburgh) and finishing at the iconic BT Murrayfield stadium.

  • Wee Wander

    5 miles – Average 2 hours – Perfect for the whole family, the Wee Wander experience in Edinburgh is the ultimate day out – even your dog can join the fun

What Are We Aiming to Achieve in 2024?

Throughout our 10 years we have funded a variety of community based projects, worked with other charities in order to complete our goals jointly, funded over 27 vein finders to a range of local hospital wards and funded a section of the new Hospital for Sick Children at Little France, just outside Edinburgh…this has all been done based on our key principle of spending funds where they were raised.

The following projects are what we are aiming to complete with your help over the next 12 months;

  • provide 10 vein finders at a cost of £40,000

  • Fund two Sanctuary Gardens into Local Schools Where Funding is Raised

  • Provide an emergency grant fund of £5,000 to support emergency grant applications.
