Steven and I were invited by Colin Bruce President of the Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay to attend their Monday evening meeting on 18th April 2016.
Their former president Hamish Ferguson had taught both Christopher & Steven at Inverkeithing High School & had supported us through fundraising events last year with the Rotary Club.
Sadly, Hamish passed away suddenly on Christmas Day, his family decided that as he had been so passionate about our charity that the collection at his funeral should be donated to us. The Rotary Club also held a Burns Night Supper, which Hamish was due to attend, so they too donated the raffle money to funds already raised. In total we received a cheque for £2,000!
We will work with Elspeth & Euan, Hamish’s sister & brother, in order to put the funds raised back into the community in Hamish’s memory creating a legacy in the man’s name who meant so much to so many people.
